Most agile implementations revert to old ways, perhaps its the traffic light

I had a thought today and I looked back long ago to when I was not using agile and how my project managers reported. In most organisations we have the so called ‘traffic light’ status report. I spent some time reflecting on experiences and it is very easy to see how agile really does take a hammering. One reason is the so called traffic reporting. I knocked up a diagram using my kids coloring in pens to show that if people and organisations give it a full go they may overcome and realise something they never thought was possible, I really think agile failures are simply never given enough time to stabilise and achieve, instead you get three red lights and you out ! I have seen it where in sprint 4 the control measures come down like a thunderstorm much the same as perhaps the last 6 months of a waterfall come down in the same way ! now if it was my money I would want the thunderstorm earlier :-) )
